Are you a Private Sector Housing Officer looking for a challenging opportunity?
An East Sussex based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join their team in providing housing services.
The initial 3-month contract offers a competitive pay rate of £42-£45 an hour, with a hybrid work arrangement that balances home working and on-site inspections under The Housing Act 2004.

You'll need:

  1. To conduct HHSRS inspections and calculations
  2. To inspect HMOs and enforce notices where necessary
  3. To attend tribunals and court hearings when required
  4. To manage a caseload or backlog of inspections
  5. To possess extensive knowledge of investigating damp and mould issues

The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting inspections, managing cases, and enforcing regulations. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality services, the successful Housing Officer will contribute to maintaining safe and healthy living environments.
