Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic/Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with an NVQ2 or similar qualification to work on top-secret MoD and Defence projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of vehicles and electrical equipment. You will adhere to customer requirements, regulations, and technical standards, ensuring proper use of issued stores and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, assessing, and documenting vehicle and equipment status, managing material demands, and completing test reports in compliance with standards.
About the Role
This is a permanent position, and the salary offered is approximately £32,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The working hours are 37 per week, with options for a 4-day working week if necessary. Additional benefits include 6% pension, funded qualifications, progression routes, flexible hours, and company benefits.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress to supervisor or assessor roles within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of vehicles and electrical equipment

- Diagnose, assess, and document vehicle and equipment status
- Manage material demands and complete test reports in compliance with standards
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or similar qualification or time served
- Experience in mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
