Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Greenwich London
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a GOOD school in Greenwich. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to children with a range of learning difficulties in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with various learning difficulties, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Help students develop essential skills, including social interactions, communication, and self-regulation.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, ensuring continuity of support.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special educational needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable.
- A DBS check is required.
