About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Hospital Preston. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients on our acute wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cross-cover to other wards as needed
  • Supervise the process of referral and admission, including contribution to pre-admission assessments
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive person-centric care and treatment
  • Develop services within a forward-thinking transitional environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties. You will also need to have experience at consultant level within the NHS and be registered with the GMC, including being on the special register for psychiatry.
