Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate all construction project activities, including actions of AtkinsRéalis, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Develop and implement project safety programs, ensuring adherence to local and national regulatory safety codes.
  • Lead the development of the project construction organization, ensuring it is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and effective personnel utilization.
  • Monitor and analyze project safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary.
  • Control project expenditures and services, ensuring field operations are within budget.
  • Maintain client relationships, serving as the primary contact for client communication with field activities.
  • Adhere to AtkinsRéalis construction procedures and processes, ensuring any deviations are noted and approved by the Technical Head of Construction.
  • Maintain effective relationships with all other AtkinsRéalis functional departments.
  • Implement the HOTT process and coordinate all project contractual activities, participating in contracts and subcontracts negotiations during project implementation.
  • Coordinate construction activities to fully support project plans and schedules.
  • Develop and implement a training program to ensure subordinate personnel receive progressive training to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with the Testing and Commissioning Manager and ensure required permits and licenses are in place prior to site work.
  • Ensure construction teams have the capability to execute assigned scope in a safe, secure, and cost-effective manner, in accordance with cost, technical, schedule, and quality baselines.
  • Assist Lead Construction Engineers with balancing and prioritizing construction resources to support successful execution.
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor by reviewing change notice proposals to establish cost and impact to the total subcontract value, budget, and overall project forecast.
  • Accountable for providing temporary and permanent site setup provisions.
