Job Overview

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Surgery Clinical Training Fellow to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Plastic Surgery Consultants to provide exceptional care for patients presenting with problems requiring Plastic Surgery input in an outpatient and theatre environment.

The appointee will join the existing Plastic Surgery medical team to:

  • Support a comprehensive outpatient service within Plastic Surgery
  • Treat patients with conditions requiring Plastic Surgery input
  • Continue clinical responsibility for patients in their charge
  • Work with colleagues in other professions and support inter-disciplinary work
  • Triage of patients and safely discharge patients, when appropriate

The job plan will be agreed with the successful candidate and will be based on a 10 PA working week. The appointed candidate would be expected to engage with the Plastic Surgery Department delivery. Opportunities exist for flexible working, extended working day, and expanding weekend working.

Person Specification
  • At least 3 years' experience in Plastic Surgery
  • Other higher degree (PhD, Masters, BSc)
