We are seeking a highly skilled International Trade Specialist to join our team at Expeditors. As a key member of our Customs Brokerage department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper and timely clearance and release of consignments, while providing exceptional customer service.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels. Attention to detail is essential in this role, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer-specific procedures are followed to fulfill government agencies' and customers' requirements.
- Verify compliance with customs documentation and data, and retain records within our document retention system.
- Process customs declarations accurately and efficiently to meet KPI standards.
- Communicate effectively with customs authorities, addressing any issues or questions that may arise during the clearing process.
- Maintain strong relationships with customs officers and customers, ensuring compliance with external and internal policies and regulations.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
