Data Analyst Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Aegon Asset Management. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive information and compliance with data privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations
  • Operationalize data discovery, classification, and remediation procedures
  • Assess and manage risks related to data privacy
  • Coordinate and deliver privacy training, communications, and general awareness of policy implications
  • Work closely with privacy-related initiatives to provide expertise and industry best practice on data privacy capabilities, tooling, and remediation
  • Assess and determine suitable tooling to perform activities, administer monitoring and remediation activities using these tools
  • Gather data, perform analysis, draft reports, and dashboards to communicate on goals, progress, and risks/issues

Requirements

  • Knowledge and awareness of evolving information security and privacy-related regulation, best practice, opportunities, and threats, and technologies
  • Skills in configuring and implementing relevant technologies to support privacy processes
  • Understanding of current and future business needs and how they might be met
  • Ability to develop working relationships with peers and key stakeholders, such as business partners, legal, internal audit, risk, and technology specialists
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with peer teams on small to medium projects as required
  • Ability to drive and achieve consensus/support from diverse groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling effective articulation of technology solutions and business processes to a technical and non-technical audience
  • Results-driven with a bias towards practical applications
  • Possesses a planning orientation with integrative thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
  • Demonstrable project management (planning & reporting) skills
