Caretaking and Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Caretaking and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Shorefields. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for the security, caretaking and maintenance of our school premises.
The ideal candidate will have experience in caretaking and/or building maintenance, with strong DIY and handyman skills. You will also be required to lead a small team of cleaners, liaise with contractors and tradesmen, and possess awareness of COSHH, Safe Manual Handling practices and Health & Safety.
A salary of £20,000 - £26,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, is offered for this full-time role.
Responsibilities:
- Caretaking and maintenance of school premises
- Leading a small team of cleaners
- Liaising with contractors and tradesmen
- Maintaining awareness of COSHH, Safe Manual Handling practices and Health & Safety
Requirements:
- Experience in caretaking and/or building maintenance
- Strong DIY and handyman skills
- Full driving licence and use of own car
- Enhanced DBS check, medical checks and two satisfactory references
