**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist/Endoscopist to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary medical team, you will bring your expertise and skills in Gastroenterology and Endoscopic procedures to provide high-quality gastrointestinal services to the population of Portsmouth.
In this exciting opportunity, you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. We offer high-quality day case treatment in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care. Our focus is on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.
The endoscopy service is run with both Olympus and Fujinon endoscope systems. In time, consultants joining Practice Plus Group will be guided through the process to achieve accreditation with BUPA, applicants already with this accreditation are considered favourably and encouraged to highlight this in their application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a multi-professional team.
- Perform a range of Endoscopic procedures.
- Deliver gastroscopy and colonoscopy day case endoscopy services to referred NHS and private patients.
Requirements:
- Full and specialist GMC registration.
- Evidence of subspecialty training.
- Experience of working in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions.
- Able to offer an expert opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology.
**Salary:** £100,000 - £120,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
