Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Academics. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work with young people who need support with their social, emotional, and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and supervision for children's behaviour during the school day and support their learning and participation in class.
- Work with a class, a small group, or individual learners, both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Encourage the development of social skills and support students' individual needs.
- Help build confidence and motivation.
- Participate in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team.
- Maintain progress records.
- Support regulations pertaining to safeguarding.
Requirements:
- An Undergraduate Degree, ideally in a relevant subject such as Psychology or Criminology.
- Knowledge and/or a keen interest and understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs.
- Good general education levels in English and Maths - A Levels are preferable.
- A co-operative working style and a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a caring attitude.
- Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
