About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager to lead our operations in London. As a member of our global leadership team, you will be responsible for owning the P&L and managing all business activities, including hiring and on-boarding teams, marketing units, and building relationships with the local real estate industry.

As the leader of our London office, you will directly manage a team of high-performing professionals focused on operations and real estate. You will be responsible for scaling our business, driving growth, and ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the P&L for Blueground's London business

• Scale a best-in-class team for real estate and operations

• Define city priorities and goals, and manage performance on a monthly and quarterly basis by setting relevant KPIs and incentive structures

• Identify unexplored opportunities and adapt the business model to local requirements, taking into account potential regulatory constraints

• Stay actively educated on London real estate trends to adapt and refine leasing strategy

• Shape and share best practices with the rest of the network towards the constant efficiency improvement of our global operations

• Be the face of Blueground in London, including local PR and networking events

• Collaborate with Product, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Client Experience teams to meet the needs of the local market

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a managerial role (general management or operations)

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others

• Hands-on approach with a proactive and results-oriented mindset

• Extensive knowledge of PnL management, including budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders

• Background in real estate with demonstrated success in originating, negotiating, executing, and managing real estate deals would be beneficial
