About the Role

As a Senior Inductor Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development of high-performance inductors for various applications. You will lead a team of engineers to design, test, and quality assure inductors that meet rigorous standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronic engineering, materials science, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in inductor design. Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools, such as HFSS, Maxwell, or COMSOL, is essential.

You will work closely with manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless translation of design concepts into exceptional products. The role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret simulation and test results accurately.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of inductor product development, including design, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Create high-performance inductors that meet rigorous standards for various applications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless translation of design concepts into exceptional products.
  • Analyze electromagnetic performance using simulation tools, bridging virtual models with real-world results for accuracy.
  • Develop prototypes, test methodologies, and qualification plans to align with customer and product specifications.
  • Interface with customers to understand technical needs, providing innovative, tailored solutions.
  • Ensure inductor designs are not only high-performing but also cost-effective and manufacturable at scale.
  • Drive initiatives for both product and process enhancements to keep the company at the forefront of inductor technology.
  • Document designs, test outcomes, and other technical details, and present insights to internal and external stakeholders.
