Children's Welfare Support Specialist

The role will involve supporting children in care, promoting their wellbeing, and contributing to positive outcomes. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team and have the opportunity to develop and implement safe practice. As a Children's Welfare Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting daily routines, organizing activities, and managing complex behaviors. You will also contribute to care plans and risk assessments, and work in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations.
The estimated salary for this role is £13.00 per hour. Flexible shifts, competitive pay rates, opportunities for further development and training, and eligibility for a Blue Light Card are just some of the benefits we offer. We require a minimum of 6 months post-qualification experience working in a child and/or young adult setting, a Diploma level 3 in children's and young people (level 4 desirable), and an enhanced DBS. You must also have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Supporting, safeguarding, and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
- Assisting with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational setting.
- Organizing and facilitating social activities.
- Transportation.
- Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice.
- Offering high levels of supervision and support.
- Working in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations.
- Managing complex behaviors and crisis intervention.
- Contributing to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
