About the Role

The Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Team Support Worker to join our Direct Payments Employment Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our direct payments system, providing support to individuals, their personal assistants, and colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information and support to individuals who use direct payments, their personal assistants, and colleagues across Adult Social Care and the wider organization.
  • Deal with enquiries about recruitment and employment processes, helping manage our new PA Noticeboard, reporting on activity, and supporting DP audits.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Care Pathway, Financial Operations, Adult Social Care Finance, and Payroll teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including personal assistants, care providers, and other organizations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation, using Microsoft Office to a high standard.

Requirements

  • Good customer service skills, including confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and the work of the Adults and Communities Department.
  • Experience of working in an administrative, financial, or secretarial setting, preparing and producing reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other documentation.
  • Ability to successfully manage relationships with internal and external customers/partners, and manage sometimes challenging and potentially confrontational situations in a professional manner.
