About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Support Officer to join our team at the Gastrointestinal Conditions National Strategic Clinical Network. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level administrative support, liaising with colleagues, stakeholders, and professionals using strong communication skills.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting and delivering network business, with a thorough understanding of the Gastrointestinal Conditions National Strategic Clinical Network agenda and organisational arrangements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance, management, and oversight of project plans, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination.
  • Develop, implement, and manage required documentation, including reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Take responsibility for the management of defined areas of work, including budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the management of budgets, ensuring effective financial planning and control.
  • Engage with stakeholders, providing excellent communication and support to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of experience, together with a high level of numeracy, written, and spoken English.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Awareness of policies and procedures relating to dealing with Information Governance, confidential data, both personal and organisational.
  • Thorough understanding of project/programme office functions, including project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Working knowledge of filing/data systems, including records management.
  • Agile Foundation, Prince 2 Foundation, and MSP Foundation certifications.
  • Previous experience of working with financial systems and/or purchasing of goods or equipment.
  • Experience of project support work, including budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data, and appropriate maintenance and storage of records.
  • Good time management and flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
Welsh Language Requirements
  • Ability to speak Welsh/Willingness to learn.
