Job Summary

The Area Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for managing the timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance tasks within the Olefins 6 plant area. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering standards and policies, as well as the ability to lead and influence stakeholders across the operational and technical functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the application of engineering standards and policies within the Olefins 6 plant area, ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Manage the delivery of area maintenance engineering requirements, aligning with business and regulatory needs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure cost-effective safety, integrity, reliability, and production assurance.
  • Ensure regulatory and procedural compliance for the area, including interaction with external regulators to protect SABIC's legislative interests and license to operate.
  • Collaborate with the Olefins 6 Maintenance Manager to deliver the maintenance budget and take on delegated responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or Maintenance with a broad scope of technical knowledge in chemistry and petrochemical technology.
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with an Appropriate Professional Engineering Institution.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in Engineering or Maintenance, preferably in the Petrochemicals industry.
  • Excellent conceptual, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and SAP (CMMS).
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural and diverse environment, influencing and engaging at senior management level.
