Job Summary

: Webber, LLC is seeking a skilled Highway Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure management group, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all structures including movable bridges, fixed bridges, culverts, overhead sign structures, high mast lighting, and bridge fender systems in accordance with standards and conditions specified in the contract and as directed by the supervisor.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair highway structures including concrete, structural steel, welding, expansion joints, carpentry, and painting as required.
  • Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) control by setup and removal of traffic controls devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
  • Be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts.
  • Repair/maintain functionality of bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, etc. through use of shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
  • Control vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn mowing equipment, hard or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers and other methods.
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of bridge fender systems including navigational signs, lighting, and all elements of the structural fender systems.
  • Be comfortable working in and around water and from boats.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
  • Be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Demonstrate knowledge of structure maintenance.
  • Practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury-free.
  • Recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury, or accident.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.
  • Coooperate and communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate proportions, percentages, and measurements).
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possess one year of work experience in construction, maintenance, and repair.
  • Hold CDL, DOT certifications, Electrical, and Welding Certifications (highly desirable).
  • Hold a valid Driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Salary and Benefits

We are offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, as well as excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.
