About Us

At Optos, we're revolutionizing retinal imaging to make a patient-friendly device that quickly captures the entire retina. Our mission is to transform eye care, and we're looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team.

The Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools. You'll develop comprehensive reliability test plans, identify critical reliability metrics, and define accelerated life testing protocols to ensure the continued longevity and durability of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop reliability demonstration tests and analyze data to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions and design improvements
  • Conduct FMEA and design HALT/HASS tests to identify design weaknesses
  • Model reliability using techniques such as Weibull analysis, reliability block diagrams, and Monte Carlo simulations
  • Implement ESS techniques and investigate reliability-related failures
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, test development, or validation
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical Engineering or related field
  • Strong background in reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Analytical, systematic, and proactive approach
  • Pragmatic and confident communicator
  • Experience of mentoring others
