Freight Handler

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cargo Handler to join our team on a temporary basis, with a minimum commitment of 2 months. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the efficient handling of cargo, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work flexible hours. You will be working closely with our Duty Manager to ensure seamless cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and offload freight manually or mechanically, adhering to handling procedures.
- Accurately place and retrieve freight in and from storage areas, recording locations as necessary.
- Conduct bond checks and perform housekeeping duties to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain and protect company or customer property and equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to the Company Health & Safety policy and Security Regulations.
- Comply with Company handling procedures and implement policies as directed in the Company Handbook.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours at short notice.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Fork Lift Licence is essential.
- Certificate Level CO is essential.
