Job Title: Actuarial Manager

PINNACLE PET GROUP LIMITED is seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for managing the production of actuarial deliverables into our Solvency II processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of actuarial deliverables required for Solvency II annual/quarterly submissions to UK regulators.
  • Contribute to the ORSA process, including prospective capital assessment, stress testing, and assessment of the adequacy of the standard formula.
  • Follow, maintain, and continuously improve our governance framework, including result review, process or policy documentation.
  • Provide guidance to and review work of analyst resources within the team.
  • Provide actuarial support to other internal functions and external stakeholders on Solvency II matters.
  • Actively help transform the team operating model by improving process efficiency, enhancing automation, or using new tools.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the actuarial team in its contribution to the company's statutory accounts and budget forecasts.
  • Participate in the upskilling of the team.
Requirements:
  • Actuarial or insurance background (education or professional).
  • Solvency II experience (general, Standard Formula), knowledge of market best practice in Solvency II area.
  • Strong analytical or statistical skills, precision, attention to detail.
  • Strong IT coding skills (including Excel advanced).
  • Problem solving skills: creative, appetite for developing new solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills oral/written (fluent English).
Desirable:
  • Solvency II experience (ability to challenge company status quo).
  • Pillar I: USP or Internal Model experience (including specialist tools).
  • Pillar II: ORSA experience.
  • Industry: Pet business or other P&C experience.
  • Database system/programming fluency (e.g. SQL, Python, Power Query).
