Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Randstad. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies to meet each student's specific needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to support classroom activities and manage behaviour effectively.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, contributing to student reports and reviews.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of SEN students in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities and social interactions.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
  • Must Provide 2 relevant professional references
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting student development.
  • Collaborative and able to work well within a team of educators and support staff.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to the diverse needs of students.
