Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Barnsley. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the residential housebuilding sector.

You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple residential developments, working closely with site managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.

  1. Prepare and manage project budgets and costs
  2. Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and suppliers
  3. Conduct regular valuations, cost reports, and forecasting
  4. Manage subcontractor procurement, agreements, and payments
  5. Resolve financial issues and cost variations
  6. Support the project team in delivering homes on time and within budget

You should possess excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management processes. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are also essential.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential housebuilding
  2. Proven track record of delivering accurate costings and budgets
  3. Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management processes
  4. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  5. Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and MS Office
  6. Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
