Hospital Optometrist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced optometrist to join our team in Hampshire. As a Hospital Optometrist, you will have the opportunity to work in a specialist setting with access to hospital-grade equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting examinations associated with refractive, cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries. You will also run acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery for all patients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing first-line clinical advice to patients and referring them to medical practitioners when necessary
  • Supporting direct consultant access, peer support, and a robust clinical CPD program for continuous professional development

To be successful in this role, you will need to be fully qualified as an optometrist, registered with the GOC, and possess an IP qualification. Extensive experience working as an optometrist in a refractive, high street, or hospital environment is essential.

A competitive salary of up to £65,000 per annum, including 33 days' holiday, enhanced pension contributions, private healthcare, and other benefits make this a compelling opportunity.
