Desktop Support Technician Job Description

Arcas Technology Ltd is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join their team in London. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to all users and maintaining internal systems via the IT Helpdesk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional service and support to all users, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of Servers, Desktops, Mobile devices, Telecoms, Network, Storage, and Security.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan maintenance and upgrades of systems as needed.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
Key Skills Required:
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10, including installs, configuration, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office.
  • Experience with Network concepts such as Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, Switching/Routing, VLANs, and Firewalls.
  • Good understanding of ITIL working principles.
  • Ability to assist with daily, weekly, and monthly IT health checks, including certificate expiry and backups.
  • Understanding of web protection solutions.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
