Biofacility Management Leader

The University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced Biofacility Manager to lead operations within its Experimental Barrier. This state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated in 2020, features cutting-edge biomedical research capabilities. As the successful candidate, you will oversee a team of 30 staff members and be responsible for ensuring world-class animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and efficient service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing large teams. They will also possess extensive knowledge of laboratory animal facilities and a strong commitment to promoting the highest standards of animal welfare.

Key responsibilities include leadership and oversight of the Experimental Barrier, undertaking the role of a NACWO, upholding Home Office regulations, and acting as a liaison between researchers and technical staff.

Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum

This role is subject to a 9-month probationary period and requires the successful candidate to undergo a health assessment and security check.
