About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Consultant Pathologist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKUHFT). As a key member of our pathology department, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic services to patients and healthcare professionals across east Kent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical pathology services, including microbiology, clinical biochemistry, immunology, haematology, and cellular pathology.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques and technologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
  • Full GMC registration and Specialist Register status or within six months of receiving the certificate of completion of training (CCT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
