Test Engineer Opportunity at Vectawave Technology Ltd

Vectawave Technology Ltd, a leading designer and manufacturer of Solid State RF and Microwave Amplifiers, is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join their team at their site in Newport, Isle of Wight.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work on a variety of RF and Microwave products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement test procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in RF and Microwave products, including sub-assemblies, modules, and complete systems.
  • Collaborate with the Test Manager to prioritize workload and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Work with the Repair team to ensure efficient turn-around times.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and maintain accurate records of test results.
  • Develop and maintain test equipment and documentation.
Requirements:
  • HND/HNC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in a production test environment, with skills in assembly, PCB soldering, and microwave test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Understanding of test strategies and methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
