As a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, Boccard is seeking a talented and experienced Quality Manager to join our Quality Team.

The Project Quality Manager will report to the Senior Project Quality Manager and will assist in defining quality standards for the delivery of projects, ensuring quality assurance measures to guarantee those standards are met.

  • The Project Quality Manager is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Quality Manager in:
  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining project processes for the successful implementation and completion of the piping support project.
  • Promoting a Right First-Time attitude and ensuring final quality of the delivery.
  • Developing, embedding, and maintaining Nuclear Safety Culture behaviors.
  • Providing assurance that manufacturing and construction processes are efficient and up-to-date.
  • Being the main point of contact on all defined Project Quality aspects.
  • Ensuring that the delivery centre applies the defined procedures for the project.
  • Managing the quality assurance of manufacturing activities, including the required NDT and dimensional checks, and its associated records.
  • Monitoring the performance status of projects through relevant indicators - Safety First-On time-On spec-On Budget-Customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding and exceeding customer (internal or external) needs and expectations.
  • Communicating with the Client on quality matters.
  • Providing feedback to the Project team and leaders on concerns regarding Quality.
  • Analyzing and resolving process quality issues and needs as they relate to process performance and quality requirements.
  • Managing data related to KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement/Preparing performance reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Traveling to suppliers to ensure quality and process capacities are met.
  • Becoming familiar with company policies and training the team to follow guidelines.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally in the nuclear, oil and gas, or equivalent industry sectors.
  • A quality mindset.
  • Leadership qualities to drive improvements within a team.
  • Strong IT competency, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Resilience.
  • A UK driving license.

Skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum HNC in Engineering or a related subject.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, welding & NDT Standards.
  • Knowledgeable of RCCM and any related requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of Nuclear New Build Requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills based on facts.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Pack Office (especially Excel).
