Job Title: Director of AI

We are partnering with an AI-focused start-up in the Biotech space to advance medicines. We are looking for a Director of AI to join their existing team of 3 AI experts to work on projects using multimodal data from various sources, working on projects from research to deployment.

The Role:

  • Manage a small team of Data Scientists
  • Read research papers to come up with new ways of using AI to solve business problems
  • Lead projects using multimodal data and cutting-edge AI techniques
  • Take projects from ideation through to deployment, getting involved in DevOps and Version Control where needed
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD in a relevant subject
  • Experience working with cutting-edge AI techniques
  • Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer / AI Engineer with a preference for Biotechnology industry experience
  • Experience working with large, multimodal data sets from various sources
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Tech: Python, SQL, Cloud technology

Salary and Benefits:

  • Basic salary £110,000-£130,000
  • London office – required in minimum 3 times per week but ideally 4
  • Private Medical care
