Job Title: Electrical Engineer

A highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer is required to join our team at AWD online. As a key member of our Fabrics Production Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, including services, distribution, plant machinery, and miscellaneous.
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment, and services.
  • Meet the requirements of all departments at the Stockport site by carrying out various electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous works.
  • Monitor the condition of services and machinery, reporting defects to the General Manager Fabrics immediately.
  • Carry out portable and fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly.
  • Action specific work as detailed on maintenance and project request forms.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery, and other electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of the department.
  • Supervise contractors as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified (17th edition) time served electrician.
  • Both mechanical and PLC experience.
  • Auto enrolled into the Stakeholder Pension Scheme (company contributes 4%).
