We are seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our team at a busy manufacturing site in Essex.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the engineering and manufacturing processes, working on cutting-edge technology.

You will be responsible for conducting both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability through continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical bias with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve technical issues to minimize production interruptions
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying problems, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize equipment settings and processes for maximum efficiency and quality
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records through full use of the CMMS System, including work orders, equipment manuals, and spare parts inventory
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer
  • HNC / ONC or equivalent Electrical / Mechanical engineering certification
  • Solid understanding and experience of PLC faulting (Siemens)
  • Basic computer skills
