Role Overview

We are seeking a BSL Community Support Specialist to provide high-quality support to an individual with Usher syndrome in accessing the community for social and leisure activities.

The successful candidate will have a BSL Level 3 qualification and experience in care, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany the individual on food shopping trips and attend appointments
  • Participate in social and leisure activities such as bowling, swimming, and visiting the park
  • Support the individual in making their own choices and deciding how they want to spend their day

Requirements

  • Full UK license and Business Insurance
  • Minimum of a Level 3 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification
  • Experience in Care and being confident working in a lone working setting
