We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Chef to join our team at Wigan Council. As a Mobile Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to children in schools across the Wigan and Leigh Borough.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals for children in schools, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of catering assistants, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Order food from approved suppliers and manage stock effectively.
- Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets the standards of the Local Kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, including the Local Kitchen Business Management team, Business Support team, and Operations Team.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive image of the Local Kitchen. As a Mobile Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team and making decisions that impact the quality of food served to children.
You will be a strong communicator, able to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. You will also be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, such as unexpected absences or equipment failures.
