We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Orthopaedic Training Programme in London.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality training programmes that meet national standards and guidelines established within the specialty.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of orthopaedic training across the region and strong leadership and communication skills to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of regional training programme
  • Specialty-specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns
  • Recruitment to training posts and programmes
  • Postgraduate programme management, including assessments, progression, rotations, support and remediation, OOP management, trainee management careers support, less than full-time training, inter-deanery transfer, academic training and other related work-streams.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant with a proven track record of delivering educational services and managing teams. They will also have a deep understanding of healthcare education policy and funding streams.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within our organisation.
