Job Title: Senior Project Strategist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Strategist to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our Transportation Team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive project management support for the Head of Transport Strategy and Active Travel.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of service-specific plans and related strategies, working with colleagues across the service and the rest of the council. You will also deliver key projects within the Transport Strategy and Active Travel, that advance and embed the Service approach to pursuing its priorities, whilst improving outcomes and reducing costs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing teams, prioritizing deadlines, and monitoring progress. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to a range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide project management support for the Head of Transport Strategy and Active Travel.
  • To contribute to the development of service-specific plans and related strategies.
  • To deliver key projects within the Transport Strategy and Active Travel.
  • To manage and implement bespoke projects essential to the day-to-day running of the service.
  • To collaborate with other council departments on specific projects aimed at achieving savings and efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience of project management responsibilities in a professional environment.
  • Experience in managing a team of staff, to establish priorities, deadlines and work programmes and to monitor progress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to a range of audiences.
