Job Title: Primary LSA

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to students with varying learning needs
  • Assist students with their learning, both individually and in groups, to ensure they reach their full potential
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized learning plans
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other support staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Perform other duties as required by the school and Prospero Teaching

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working with children in a primary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of child development and learning theories
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
