Dartford County Court Administrator

Job Summary:
This is a temporary contract role for an Admin Officer position with an immediate start date. The contract will run until March 2025, with the possibility of extension. The job involves working 5 days a week in an office setting in Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings
- Producing court or tribunal documents
- General photocopying and filing
- Creating and updating records on the in-house computer system and data input
- Booking, preparing, and organizing meeting rooms, supporting training courses, and other group activities
- Drafting standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes, reports, submissions, etc., according to guidelines and instructions
Additional Responsibilities:
- Clerking civil and family courts, tribunals, and hearings, ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date
- Assisting court users, supporting listing and rota management, checking files
- Contacting relevant parties, scheduling, serving court documents, executing a range of warrants, collecting fines and fees, etc.
- Handling counter, written, and telephone enquiries
- Working as a team to ensure timely and productive TIB meetings
- Undertaking ad hoc roles within the band, such as Jury Bailiff Officer, L+D Coordinator, H+S roles
Requirements:
- Confident with IT and Microsoft Essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
