Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance professional to join our Padiham site as a Plant Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, including supply chain management and production planning.

• Month-end closing activities: account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and management reporting.
• Year-end closing reporting: management reporting, audit compliance, and performance analysis.
• Highlighting financial risks and opportunities to the plant manager, along with weekly updates to the business.
• Completing and delivering divisional forecasts, budgets, and cost reviews on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
• Monitoring and reporting site KPIs to the business and senior leadership team.
• Acting as a Business Advisor and Controller of all site-related costs.
• Analyzing and reporting sales performance and site productivity, tracking customer contracts and rebate schedules.
• Pricing, collaborating with the central commercial team to address potential pricing issues.
• Leading and overseeing capital investment projects relevant to the site.
• Reporting and signing off on the yearly budget.

• Relevant Finance/Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience or understanding of manufacturing, including production workflows, cost allocation in manufacturing, and inventory management in a factory setting.
• Ability and willingness to spend time on the production floor, learning and understanding manufacturing processes and products.
• Experienced in working with staff at all levels and working in a team-based office environment.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in SAP would be preferable.
• Good presentation and written communication skills.
