Sports Department Head

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Sports to lead our Physical Education and Sports department, driving innovation and excellence in teaching and leadership.

About the Role:

• Head a vibrant and inclusive co-educational secondary and sixth form, dedicated to transforming life opportunities for students in East London.
• Oversee a popular PE subject, with high numbers at GCSE, and develop an inspiring curriculum promoting core sports and skills.
• Lead a team of educators, providing innovative and accredited courses, leadership awards, and an Elite athlete programme.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ambitious leadership, driving high standards and maintaining a strong reputation for the department.
2. Supporting the Catholic Ethos and mission, while fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
3. Developing and implementing effective classroom practice, evidenced by excellent student outcomes across Key Stages 3-5.
4. Raising performance in PE, setting high expectations for pupil attainment and behavior.
5. Inspiring and motivating colleagues and students, developing their potential and passion for sports education.

Salary: £61,003 - £66,402 (Inner London Pay Scale, L5 – L9)
