English Teacher Job Description

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a diverse 11-18 school in Pendle. The role is initially for 1 term on a full-time basis, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Encourage students to explore various literary genres to enhance writing skills
  • Promote positive working environments and establish relationships with students and colleagues
  • Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere
  • Be a role model for students, inspiring passion for the subject through high-quality teaching methods
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent with relevant teaching experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Two references from previous teaching roles and all employment/education within the last 2 years
  • Enhanced DBS
