Job Title: Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse
Location: Westminster
Type: Permanent
Salary: £42,500 - £51,059 per annum + benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits & excellent career development)
As a Senior Staff Nurse within our client's Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the department. You will be expected to support and mentor junior nurses, using your in-depth clinical knowledge to guide and support them while also stepping up to lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and mentor junior nurses
- Lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse
- Use in-depth clinical knowledge to guide and support junior nurses
Requirements:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
- Experience working within Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care needs
- Experience with tracheostomised patients is desirable
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues
- Teaching and mentoring experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits
- Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirable
