Design Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to lead our engineering team and oversee the design activities of our busy Design Engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Design Engineering team, including issuing manufacturing drawings and managing the engineering design process.
- Develop and implement effective working relations with other teams to ensure consistent cost-effective designs and timely issue of manufacturing details.
- Ensure documentation, including manuals, is up-to-date and compliant with quality performance requirements.
- Post manufacturing details to ERP/OPERA and issue material requirements to the Purchasing function.

Requirements:
- HND or above qualification in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of previous design team leader experience, ideally gained in an MHE or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to effectively organize and manage the diverse engineering team.
