Job Summary

The Pioneer Learning Trust is a collaborative group of schools in Luton, committed to pursuing excellence and equity in a values-based context. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Wellbeing Team.

The successful candidate will provide mentoring and nurture support for pupils with challenging behaviour, working one-to-one and in small groups to provide guidance with learning activities as directed by the class teacher. An NVQ Level 3 in childcare is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support in the classroom, working one-to-one and in small groups to provide guidance with learning activities
  • Work with the Wellbeing Team to provide mentoring and nurture support for pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Support the class teacher in delivering learning activities and providing guidance to pupils
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in childcare
  • Ability to work one-to-one and in small groups with pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
