About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled M&E Project Manager to join our team and lead on a variety of projects for West Midlands Police.

This role involves managing building and system modifications arising from our estates strategy, overseeing routine maintenance activities provided by contractors, and ensuring the provision of independent utilities on a previously shared site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering a new boiler house on a different site
  • Migrating BMS systems to newer technology
  • Implementing a separator maintenance strategy
  • Assisting with the refurbishment of existing building stock
  • Designing mechanical works and meeting with contractors
  • Signing off at the end of projects
Requirements
  • Mechanical building services engineering experience
  • Project management skills
  • Building and system modifications expertise
  • Routine maintenance oversight
  • Independent utility provision
  • Boiler house installation knowledge
  • BMS system migration experience
  • Separator maintenance strategy implementation skills
  • Refurbishment of building stock
  • Contractor liaison and sign-off
Desirable Qualifications
  • Chartered Engineer (preferred but not essential)
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Membership in professional bodies such as CIBSE or IMechE (preferred but not essential)
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a salaried position based in the UK with a rate of £50-£60 per hour (inside IR35).
