About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil in Year 1 who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The role involves providing individual support to the child, as well as supporting other pupils in the class who may also require additional assistance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ASC and previous experience working in a similar role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work closely with teachers and other support staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual support to the pupil with ASC, including helping with daily tasks and activities.
  • Support other pupils in the class who may require additional assistance.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the pupil's needs are met.
  • Participate in planning and preparation for lessons, as well as contributing to the broader life of the school community.
Requirements
  • 2:1 or higher degree grade and excellent A-Level and GCSE grades.
  • Strong understanding of ASC and previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work closely with teachers and other support staff.
