Job Overview

The School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. This fixed-term contract is up to January 2028 and offers a full-time starting salary in the range £35,880 to £45,163 with potential progression once in post to £47,874.

This role will involve working on Dr Peacock's funded research grant, developing a new class of MRI contrast agents based on designed metallo peptide/proteins. The successful candidate will collaborate with the group of Prof. and be employed by the University of Birmingham while spending the first year visiting the group of Prof.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on MRI contrast agents in collaboration with the group of Dr Peacock and Prof.
  • Work towards developing a new class of MRI contrast agents based on designed metallo peptide/proteins.
