Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Airplay Worker. As a key member of our youth work team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality programs and services to children and young people aged 5-18 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of outreach and centre-based youth work programs, working closely with the Station Youth Worker and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, their families, and community stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program plans, ensuring they are aligned with the Airplay Theory of Change and YMCA Youth Work Strategy and Principles.
  • Provide training and support to volunteers and staff, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice in youth work.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to youth work and program delivery.

Requirements

  • Enhanced Disclosure Check required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a youth work or related field.
  • Knowledge of youth work principles, theories, and best practices.
