Instrument Production Technician

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is a leading company in the field of nanopore science and technology. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Instrument Production Technician to join our engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on engineering and production support for the introduction and development of products from prototype through to regulated commercial instruments. This will involve mechanical and electronic assembly, quality control, testing of components and assemblies, and working within a team to build sub-assemblies and devices to required specification and standard.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical support to resolve production quality issues in an efficient manner using standard procedures
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of quality management systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure departmental targets are met


Requirements:
  • GCSE in Maths & English
  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Hands-on technical ability working with mechanical assemblies
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
