Job Summary:

KCTCS's Career and Technical Department invites applications for part-time CDL Instructor positions. This part-time position will be responsible for providing instruction to students in CDL-A range and road instruction, monitoring and documenting student progress and attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction to students to ensure they are well-educated and able to pass their written CDL-A permit test, as well as their skills and road tests.
  • Emphasize safety concepts, principles, and procedures to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Ensure that the trucks are safe, clean, and well-maintained for student use.

Requirements:

  • Two years of over-the-road experience with a standard transmission.
  • Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience.

  • Good teaching and organization skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
